Teddy Bear Drive

Service Squad will be collecting NEW teddy bears throughout the month of February for children at SAFEHOME: A domestic violence shelter in Johnson County.

Please bring NEW teddy bears to EUMC by Sunday, Feb. 26.

Benefit Dinner Dance

Join the Edgerton UMC Relay For Life Team for a dinner/dance to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Santa Fe Trail. This is an alcohol free, family friendly event. Tickets for donation drawings will be available, drawings to be held at 8:30 pm.

Music provided by The Prairie Wine Band.

Dinner served from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Dance from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Donations accepted at the door:
Children under 3 — free
4 years thru 13 years — $3
14 years and up — $6 each or
$10 per couple

Location is the Gardner Grange Hall on the
Johnson County Fairgrounds, located at
202 E. Washington in Gardner

Soup Still Being Collected

The Mission Team would like to thank those who attended and brought soup to Souper Bowl II. More than 50 people came and
donated cans of soup.

You can continue to bring soup until the last Sunday in February. There is a box in Fellowship Hall for the cans of soup. Thank you!

Would you like to share your recipes and have other church members recipes? There will be a cookbook of recipes from Edgerton UMC cooks created. Submit recipes to Debbie Dinges at jdinges@kc.rr.com or leave them in the basket marked “Recipes” in Fellowship Hall. Recipes are needed by April 1.

BINGO TO BE HELD FEB. 26

The Youth Group is hosting a fundraising Bingo at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. The congregation is welcome to bring desserts to donate for prizes. Cards will cost $10 per card for adults and $5 for kids. Card costs will benefit the summer mission trip to Denver, Colorado.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

The World Day of Prayer will be held at EUMC this year on Friday, March 2, at 7 p.m. The theme is “Let Justice Prevail.” The women of Malaysia invite us to work with them, with God, and with the people nearest to us, to create a world in which each gender, race, culture, religion, and state is honored, nurtured, and empowered. It takes courage, compassion, and active engagement for justice to prevail.

Pizza with the Pastor

Interested in learning more about Edgerton United Methodist Church and the meaning of membership in The United Methodist Church?

Several Sundays throughout the year, we will offer "Pizza with the Pastor." We will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m., and share lunch and conversation about our church, The United Methodist Church, and the meaning of membership. Child care will be provided for ages 0-12.

Dates we are offering "Pizza with the Pastor" include March 18, June 24, Sept. 16, and Nov. 18. To plan for lunch and child care, we must have reservations made by the Sunday before.
