Blanket Sunday

Every September, we take a collection to purchase blankets or other needed items that will be used by Church World Service during disasters.  Call Church Office at 913-882-6735 or email MissionsTeam@edgertonumc.org for more information.

The Church World Service TOOLS OF HOPE & BLANKET Program creates a rainbow of help and hope each time the right tool is placed in the hands of people in need.

If it empowers people and brings a better tomorrow, it's a tool of hope!

A simple truth:  Ordinary things -- things that we often take for granted like blankets, clean water, education, tents, garden tools and seeds -- can make a world of difference for people devastated by tragedy, as well as those working to build a better life for themselves and their communities.

Be part of this beautiful rainbow of caring.  Give a TOOLS OF HOPE & BLANKET gift today!

Rainbow of Caring

$5 can wrap a refugee child in a warm blanket.

$15 can provide a hoe, shovel and rake for a rural family.

$75 can buy a wire chicken coop and batch of chicks for a women's cooperative.

$175 can shelter disaster victims in a family-sized tent.

$450 can outfit a de-miner with a protective vest, visor and landmine probe.

$3770 can drill and install a clean water well for a village.

Priceless....  Your gift can help Church World Service work in partnership in more than 80 countries.
