Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.
Worship through the rest of the season of Epiphany continues to explore the theme “New Year, New Hope: Our resolutions fade, but God’s promises endure.”
On Feb. 5, we’ll read the Beatitudes from the gospel of Matthew and examine “God’s Promise of New Blessing.”
Continuing with more of the Sermon on the Mount on Feb. 12, we’ll look at “God’s Promise of New Ideals.”
“Seek first the kingdom of God,” Jesus says in summary, and on Feb. 19 we’ll find out what “God’s Promise of New Abundance” is all about.
Feb. 26 is Transfiguration Sunday. Though the message for this day is not really part of this series, it could be titled “God’s Promise of Transformation.”
Shockingly enough, the season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on March 1. More about that next month.
